CS Survey Responses:

Every week Community Safety requests survey responses from those who've had interactions with a member of the Community Safety team. These responses are always collected anonymously with the option for the responder to leave contact information if they would like for a member of Community Safety management to contact them, and are used internally for departmental performance tracking. Community Safety has opted to publish these survey results for transparency and community accountability. *Names mentioned in survey responses will be redacted to protect the privacy of individuals.

In addition to surveys sent directly to those who have interacted with Community Safety, the Reed community is always encouraged to independently complete the survey regarding Community Safety's performance.
You can take the survey here:

Unlock Met expectations
AOD Met expectations (Redacted) was pretty chill about the situation so I wasn’t scared by getting caught.

Unlock Met expectations All went well.
Medical Assist Surpassed expectations The two CSOs who came to the dorm (Redacted and Redacted) were really great. Super good with the student who needed medical help. However, dispatch for the emergency line said they wouldn’t send someone out unless I gave them my name (which I did, but then they still wouldn’t send someone until I spelled it for them). I didn’t have a problem sharing my name, but in a more severe emergency, the time it takes for them to correctly spell my name could be an issue. Once they have the location, maybe they could send someone and while they’re on the way, dispatch could get info like names. Additionally, if a student who is calling for help is only given help after sharing their name, that could be problematic, especially if someone is calling for a friend and doesn’t want to get involved/would like to do so anonymously. (I realize medical amnesty would still cover someone calling for a friend, but not everyone does.)

AOD Below expectations (Redacted) confiscated my alcohol then poured them out on the great lawn. Then (Redacted) just threw them on the ground and left them there. I was afraid to clean it up myself as I didn't want any more complications with CSO's. Additionally, (Redacted) said nothing as to say if we should pick it up. If CSO's are going to confiscate things from me, i think that, after they pour out whatever alcohol we had, they should throw it away too. (Redacted) just littered on campus.
AOD Surpassed expectations Just a nice interaction and I got a trading card so win win, kinda.
Medical Assist Met expectations
Unlock Met expectations The person who answered the phone was quite short tempered, and although I understand that they probably had millions of the same call, a little understanding and kindness could have gone a long way
